An RMC Plant, which stands for Ready-Mix Concrete Plant, is a factory that manufactures concrete and delivers it to construction sites in a ready-to-use, freshly mixed state.
Instead of mixing concrete on-site (which can be slow and inconsistent), a construction project orders a specific concrete mix design from the RMC plant. The plant then precisely combines the raw materials—cement, aggregates (sand, gravel), water, and admixtures—in a large, centralized mixer. The fresh concrete is then discharged into a transit mixer truck (the trucks with the rotating drum) and delivered to the site for immediate pouring.
